I chart for hedge funds, portfolio managers and retail investors. Now that I have added videos this year I am able to share much more information in much less time. This means more time for me to research. This means more opportunities. This means more $$.
Contrary to popular belief the reasons stock prices move the way they do is not what you hear from 99.99% of analysts, journalists or fundamental / technical analysts.
Stock prices move like a school of fish; instinctual self preservation driven by fear and food/greed. Yes news can move price like a predator (shark) moves a school of fish but it’s just an interruption in normal movement. Once the predator is gone the school of fish go back to their normal behavior…just like a stock. Think of schools of tuna or dorado. Think of schools of Apple or Netflix. The schools of different fish/stocks act differently but the same school of tuna/Netflix act the same…over and over and over.
Repeating price action is caused by a combination of float rotation (new fish/buyers are born and old fish/sellers die) and instinctual (fear/greed) behavior anchored by differing time horizons of the stakeholders. Hey, it’s my opinion so I can describe it any way I want. insert laugh track…bahahaha…truth the way I see it.
This is the most important factor in price direction, expansion and reversals…in my opinion. The stuff they blab on CNBC is group think…no thank you very much. Fibonacci, moving averages, moving average convergence/divergence (MACD), Elliott Wave, RSI, blah, blah…no thank you. Then you have earnings, interest rates, trade deals, wars, scandals…they are just temporary price action pattern disruptors…like the shark.
It may take you a while (or not) to fully understand the implications/value of what this repeating price action means but for me it’s like the Holy Grail, the lost treasure in the jungle, the shipwreck at the bottom of ocean, the archeological discovery underneath the desert sand. It’s like discovering a DNA strand. Every stock has it. You just have to find it. It’s deep, price action pattern recognition. Think of using a microscope 2X, 50X,1000X, 4.000X. With stocks you will find these repeating patterns by looking deep into smaller and smaller time frames (yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly, daily, hourly, 15min, 1min, tic). Every stock has its own unique repetition of reversals, collapse shoots, peaks, trajectory angles, propulsion spikes, consolidation bands, price compression/expansion, etc. You just need to know how to recognize them, measure them, project them and then trade them. Remember, because humans are involved this is measurable and repeatable. But, because humans are involved it’s not an exact science.
In today’s video I do a sub surface dive into Nvidia (NVDA). Strap on your tanks baby. This stock is set for expansion mode. I love it.
Nvidia (NVDA) is a perfect example of price action repetition. Will it repeat again? I think so…until it doesn’t. Insert risk management when repetition fails. Now this one is about as beautiful as they get. Measures out to over a double…BOOM! Closed at $190 Friday and it measures out to over $400! Big tech is on the move baby.
