The Dow caught up with Nasdaq and the S&P 500 index making a new all time high last week. SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (DIA) ​​​​​​​ The 10 year Treasury yield popped and closed above 3% last week. Just Sayin’

Don't you just love a good logarithmic scale now and then? I know, you are probably getting goose bumps right about now. I generally use an arithmetic scale on my price charts but I like to look at a log scale when looking at long time frames. It gives me a better "look" at percentage gains over decades. Arithmetic scales have equal spacing of price on the vertical axis so a $5 change from $10 to $15 (50% move) looks the same as a $5 change from $95 to $100 (<5% move). I wish people who are in the business of providing buy and sell signals would publish their performance history. How hard is that and why don't they do it? Mutual funds and hedge funds are not transparent either in their trading but at least you know how they performed...I hate mutual funds and I'm not really fond of most hedge funds...poor performance and high fees are not a good combination. What’s Not to Like?

Since my last SPY buy signal on July 2nd the S&P 500 index ETF has had 8 out of 9 up weeks and is higher by 7.5%. Price has cleared and closed above the previous all time high from January this year. Nasdaq, small caps and mid caps are all making new highs. Bonds have been range bound and sideways for most of the year which is a net positive for stocks. Most industry sectors are charging higher.
